Nursery Refresh

Our clients recently welcomed a new baby and wanted to create a bold, playful nursery. We worked with the clients to choose colours and fabrics that worked alongside the precious family heirlooms being used in the space, and found a colour palate that hit the brief, while also feeling restful & feminine, and crucially, having the ability to grow with their daughter.

Dulux paint has been used to colour drench the walls and side table for a wash of luscious navy and playful lilac, and are paired with saturated primary colours, adding joyful notes around the space, while paler pastels inject necessary softness, with cross stitch, tapestries and hand-pieced quilts handed down through the generations dotted around the space, and a vintage blue glass light fitting completing the look.

Natural fibres such as a pure wool rug , Colefax & Fowler Old Blue Seaweed linen, ratan & woven baskets add depth, while the crisp white Mocka & vintage Touchwood furniture adds needed freshness to the space. Lush Austrian blinds in Designer’s Guild Mokuren II in Amethyst add a floral, feminine touch, set beautifully against the warm native timber flooring, architraves and doors seen throughout the home.
